Indications: Renal dysfunction & Liver pathology. Cichorium intybus is rich in Inulin, a polysaccharide which belongs to a finer known as fructans. Insulin is the form of stored energy in therhizomes of Cichorium intybus. Inulin is soluble dietary fiber which is indigestible by the enzymes ptyalin and amylase. It passes through the intestine intact and only in the colon it is metabolized by the bacteria.
